Creative Retirement Perspective
This is not a misspelling. It is a retirement transition concept. It provides a perspective on the internal (mental and soulful) journey one makes to accepting the "retirement" label.
Retire Success was a program I helped develop, twenty years ago. I refined a process I called Re-tiering—a sorting and resetting of priorities—“retier.” In fact, more than a few people misspelled “retire” as “r-e-t-i-e-r.” I even created a Retier presentation. So, I tried to secure the retier.com domain. It was already taken by an offshore investment firm. For a handful of years I kept trying to snag it, to no avail. I moved on and aged a bit.
My now new take on retirement is “remirement.”
Remirement is/was a real word meaning:
REMIREMENT , noun masc.
[TL (referral): turnaround; GD: turnaround ; FEW VI-2, 154a: mirari ]
” Action to look, to admire “
Remiremont is a community in France. It is often misspelled as “remirement.”
