John MG
John MG is the Lead Consultant for DBM’s national web-based consulting team and Retirement Success program. He has worked extensively for DBM in office, corporate career center, and Web-based environments and has managed every aspect of the career transition process from engagement to evaluation.
After joining DBM in 2001 in their Cisco Career Center in San Jose, CA, John became a Career Consultant and Lead Retirement Consultant in DBM’s inaugural Web-based Latitude division. Through his career, John has held varied positions, including professor, corporate trainer, writer, administrator and Senior Consultant for a web-based executive career services company.
John has invested his professional life in helping people explore meaningful work and successful retirement through personal counseling, academic advising and professional coaching. His engaging style comes from his interest in people and his creative insights are derived from a thorough understanding of career and retirement resources and their application.
John earned his bachelor’s degree in English and his master’s degree in Counseling, Teaching and Administration from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. He is completing his doctoral work in Cognitive Psychology and Administration at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.
He is husband, father and photographer with an active interest in computers and websites.
